Robert Barchiesi most recently served as the Director of Investigations at the Recording Industry Association of America.
Prior to joining the Recording Industry Association of America, Mr. Barchiesi served the law enforcement community in several executive positions beginning his career with the New York City Police Department and retiring as a Detective Sergeant; he culminated his career with appointments as the Special Agent in Charge of Investigations in the US Virgin Islands and the Chief of Police in Crystal River, Florida.
Mr. Barchiesi is a frequent keynote speaker at anti-counterfeiting conferences throughout the United States and is the co-author of Rock Solid, a true crime story. In that capacity, he was interviewed by Morley Safer on 60 Minutes and appeared on other TV and radio talk shows.
Mr. Barchiesi serves on the editorial panel for the “World Intellectual Property Review” magazine and is listed in the 137th edition of “Contemporary Authors.”
Mr. Barchiesi received a B.A. from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and graduated from the University of Alabama with a M.A. in Criminal Justice.
