IACC Conducts Anti-Counterfeiting Training With New Jersey and Maryland Law Enforcement

The IACC recently concluded a series of successful training events under our newly minted U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that attracted a total of 116 attendees. 

At each event, up to 38 global brands provided the latest information on their product lines and explained how to identify fakes. Several brand representatives provided in-depth analysis of health and safety issues and internet enforcement issues before the attendees at each event.

Sayreville, New Jersey – July 18th
Attendees included high-level representatives and enforcement officers from the New Jersey State Police (NJSP).

Elizabeth, New JerseyÐ July 19th
Attendees included officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and members of multiple New Jersey law enforcement agencies.

Towson, MarylandÐ July 20th
Law enforcement officers from over 10 local and county agencies attended along with State Police from Maryland and neighboring Pennsylvania. An Investigator from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) shared best practices with attendees.

The training sessions are part of the IACC’s continuous efforts to provide authorities with valuable information on the detection and identification of counterfeit products, current investigative techniques and applicable laws.
