October 23, 2019

The IACC recently conducted a training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in Detroit, Michigan for Homeland Security, Customs Border Protection and local law enforcement.

Training was held at the McNamara Federal Building on Michigan Avenue and provided an opportunity for 45 law enforcement officers and Import Specialists to view up to date information on product lines and known counterfeits of the 22 brands in attendance.Rights-holders provided individualized instruction to strengthen efforts and increase ability to deter importation and sales of counterfeit products.

The IACC distributed USBs and encouraged officials to participate in our exclusive Law Enforcement Training App.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the members of HSI and CBP for their assistance in coordinating this event and their ongoing support.

This event is part of the IACC’s continuing program for law enforcement that provides authorities throughout the country with the tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.
