Recap of Latin America Training in the Dominican Republic

The IACC’s third Latin America Training of 2017 was recently held at the Direccion General de Aduanas (National Customs Office) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on November 2. More than 100 Customs officers and local prosecutors attended this eventÐ the IACC’s first in the country.

Representatives from 14 global brands participated in the program, sharing valuable insights, expertise and informative takeaways on how to distinguish genuine products from fakes, enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.

The IACC wishes to thank Jaime Angeles and his team from the law firm of Angeles Pons for coordinating with Virginia Cervieri and making this an exceptionally successful training event.
