Summary of U.S. Training in Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles, California

October 17, 2017

The IACC recently conducted a successful training event in Los Angeles, that partnered with the LAPD and Investigative Consultants in a first-ever cyber focused training for law enforcement, attracting over 130 attendees.

This training provided the attendees with proven techniques deployed in successful on-line investigations focused on beating the counterfeiters at their own game. Case studies were provided and online counterfeiting trends discussed. Product experts, from over 40 brands presented instruction to law enforcement on recognizing fake goods.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the Office of the Los Angeles City Attorney, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice, Homeland Security Investigations and Customs, Border Protection for their collaboration.

The IACC would like to extend a special thanks to Kris Buckner and his team from Investigative Consultants for their contribution and support of this successful educational event.

The IACC’s U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program provides authorities throughout the country with valuable insights drawn from our membership. This year, we anticipate training about 3,000 law enforcement professionals throughout the United States in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.

As a reminder, the IACC’s next U.S. Law Enforcement Training events, free to our members, will be held in San Francisco on November 2, New York City on November 8, Miami on December 13, and Tampa on December 14. For more information about our U.S. Trainings, click here.
