Summary of U.S. Training in San Francisco, California

San Francisco, California

November 2, 2017

The IACC recently conducted a product identification training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in San Francisco, California that attracted 60 officers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

This training was conducted in a trade fair format and provided the attendees with the latest information and instruction on the product lines of 40 global brands. Drawn not only from IACC rights holders but from non-member brands as well, officers had the opportunity to gain practical experience from product experts. All officers were provided with takeaways including the IACC Training Materials CD-ROM app, and access to our “Law Enforcement Only” web site.

This event is part of an ongoing commitment by the IACC to provide authorities throughout the country with valuable tools and insight in our fight against fakes. This year we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.

As a reminder, the remaining U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training events of the year will be held in Miami on December 13 and Tampa on December 14.
