About the IACC

The International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC) is an international non-profit association dedicated to combatting counterfeiting and piracy. IACC’s member-driven organization is comprised of a cross section of business and industry - from automotive, apparel, luxury goods and pharmaceuticals, to food, software and entertainment. IACC members also include law firms, investigative and product security firms, government agencies and intellectual property associations who are committed to fighting counterfeiting and piracy.

As the leading voice for companies on counterfeiting issues, the IACC conducts advocacy, enforcement training, and public awareness at the national and international level. We partner with associations and governmental bodies around the world to carry out our initiatives and improve industry and government efforts to combat counterfeit products.

Job Brief

The IACC is seeking bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates to handle administrative duties and provide event assistance. The position will entail three main areas: 1) ensure smooth office operations on a day to day basis; 2) assist with event planning for IACC conferences, with a focus on our Latin America Regional Brand Protection Summit; and 3) website and database maintenance.
The Latin America Regional Brand Protection Summit is an annual event bringing together close to 300 government officials, brands, and IP experts from Latin America, the U.S., and other countries. The Administrative Assistant will be tasked with coordinating with attendees from Latin America and assisting with event preparations. As a result, written and oral fluency in Spanish will be required. Please note, only candidates who are fluent in Spanish will be considered for this role.

Office and Administrative

Welcome office visitors and guests

Handle all aspects of office operations such as: maintaining supplies and equipment, calling for repairs, managing vendors and suppliers, sorting mail, etc

  • Set up calls/meetings for IACC staff as needed
  • Arrange domestic and international travel and accommodations
  • Handle incoming checks and invoices
  • Answer phone calls and direct caller to relevant staff, or take messages
  • Act as contact point for IT vendor
  • Set up and maintain filing system (as needed)
  • Monitor and answer or field email inquiries going into the general IACC email inbox 

Event Planning

  • Assist the Event Coordinator with event preparations, specifically our Latin America Summit and Annual Conference.
  • For the Latin America Summit: Send invitations and liaise in Spanish with government officials and other attendees in Latin America; answer relevant questions regarding the event; assist with liaising with the hotel on event logistics

Website, Database and Membership Tasks  

  • Manage and execute website updates
  • Set up and send eblast communications
  • Update contact database
  • Set up event registration pages and track attendees using event registration software
  • Coordinate with website service provider on technical issues or updates to the IACC website
  • Review and approve web-app submissions by members and non-members (job listings, Find an IP Expert profiles, etc.)
  • Assist with processing new members and other related membership functions
  • Assist in the transition of our CRM and website software to another program

Skill Requirements and Professional Qualities

  • Fluency (written and oral) in Spanish is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Exceptional communications skills and organizational skills
  • Solid writing and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Essential qualities: dependable, punctual, resourceful, detail-oriented, adaptable, friendly and possesses professional attitude and appearance
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a receptionist and/or administrative function


The position may entail travel.


The position will be located in Washington, D.C.
