About the IACC

The International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC) is an international non-profit association dedicated to combatting counterfeiting and piracy. IACC’s member-driven organization is comprised of a cross section of business and industry - from automotive, apparel, luxury goods and pharmaceuticals, to food, software and entertainment. IACC members also include law firms, investigative and product security firms, government agencies and intellectual property associations who are committed to fighting counterfeiting and piracy.

As the leading voice for companies on counterfeiting issues, the IACC conducts advocacy, enforcement training, and public awareness at the national and international level. We partner with associations and governmental bodies around the world to carry out our initiatives and improve industry and government efforts to combat counterfeit products.

Job Brief

The IACC is looking for an energetic and motivated professional to manage and expand the organization’s membership base and member engagement programs. This is a unique opportunity for an individual interested in working in an international role. The primary role is to handle all membership related functions of the organization including leading initiatives to increase member engagement, satisfaction and retention, as well as attracting new companies to join the IACC. The Manager will also play a lead role in the maintenance of the IACC website and membership database. In addition, the Manager will manage the work of the Event Coordinator on membership related projects, and oversee the Administrative Assistant jointly with the Chief of Staff.

About the IACC Member Engagement Groups

The IACC has launched its Member Engagement Groups consisting of Task Forces, Industry Working Groups and Advisory Councils, which are platforms for members to discuss issues of concern regarding counterfeiting and piracy, and potential solutions to mitigate those issues. These groups are important ways IACC members engage with and provide information to the organization on key intellectual property policy and enforcement issues. The Manager will act as a key liaison and a resource to the Task Forces and IWGs. He/she will must be comfortable working with and managing multiple groups across different countries and cultures. He/she must also be available for some evening or early morning conference calls to accommodate members in different time zones.


Daily Responsibilities

  • Manage and interact with the IACC Member Engagement Groups
  • Answer and handle membership related questions and issues
  • Oversee and supervise any work or updates to the website with the Administrative Assistant and Event Coordinator
  • Work with Administrative Assistant on sending eblasts to contact list


Member Engagement Groups (MEG)

  • Provide direction to IWG Co-Chairs and working with them to implement projects
  • Act as the liaison between IACC and members
  • Ensure coordination of projects between the various groups
  • Keep Chief of Staff informed of progress of the groups and flag any major issues
  • Set up conference calls for the groups
  • Create and maintain group member lists
  • Manage IWG website forums
  • Draft and enforce IWG and Task Force policies and guidelines


  • Answer inquiries from members and potential members
  • Screen and process new member applications
  • Work with accounting to invoice new members as well as follow up with member renewals
  • Identify opportunities to increase membership


  • Draft communications to members and non-members regarding IACC activities and other issues with the assistance of IACC’s communications consultant
  • Coordinate with the Chief of Staff and communications consultant on relevant communications initiatives
  • Set up and send eblasts through Business Catalyst in conjunction with Administrative Assistant.

Website and Member Database Maintenance

  • Lead monthly website review and relevant updates to site
  • Draft copy for IACC website pages as needed or coordinate the draft text
  • Create webpages in the back end of the website in conjunction with the Administrative Assistant
  • Coordinate with website service provider on technical issues or updates to the IACC website
  • Review and approve web-app submissions by members and non-members (job listings, Find an IP Expert profiles, etc.)


  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Experience in membership management
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • International mindset

  • Strong discipline and dependable
  • 2-year minimum experience or related experience in an association
  • Interest or experience in intellectual property or anti-counterfeiting issues
  • Bachelor’s degree


The position will entail moderate domestic travel. There may be some international travel as appropriate or necessary. The Membership Manager will be required to attend IACC Spring and Fall Conferences, which are generally held in the United States.


The position will be located in Washington, D.C.
