Senior Manager I, Intellectual Property & Anti-Counterfeit
Job Location: San Bruno, CA or Salt Lake City, UT
The Senior Manager I, Intellectual Property & Anti-Counterfeit is responsible for the design and implementation of all intellectual property (IP) and Anti-counterfeit initiatives as well as the engagement with Brand Owners looking to enforce their IP on Walmart’s global Marketplaces.
In this new role, the Sr Manager will be accountable for preventing and mitigating risks attached to Intellectual Property claims and reports received from internal and external stakeholders, customers and partners and optimize and scale the technology platforms used to process these reports.
The position will report into the Vice-President, Global Trust & Safety and will partner with the Legal, Marketplaces, Customer Support, Omni Merchandising Corporate Affairs, Technology and Trust & Safety Operations and Product teams.
This position must also cultivate an environment where the candidate respects and adheres to company standards of integrity and ethics while developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.
You’ll make an impact by:
Enhancing and scaling the existing Trust & Safety infrastructure (people, process and technology) which enables Walmart to deal with IP risks in the most efficient manner in order minimize legal exposure
Providing guidance and upholding operating standards for all teams supporting and mitigating IP risks as required
Generating insights and creating adequate reporting for all internal stakeholders
Managing Walmart’s outreach program for IP stakeholders and brand owners and represent Walmart at industry events as required
The ideal candidate will be highly customer focused. The position requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial style, to become personally involved to whatever degree necessary to manage functional responsibility and key relationships. We are looking for a cross-functional team player who drives hard, operates with a sense of urgency, can handle controversy, and makes decisions firmly and objectively.

You have 7 years’ experience in risk and fraud management, policy creation, Intellectual Property or Anti-Counterfeiting investigation and enforcement, Brand Protection
You have strong management skills; sets clear priorities and performance goals for the team and eliminates barriers to the team’s success.
You have proven results of balancing due diligence while delivering fast outcomes that customers love.
You are smart, organized analytical thinker, with the ability to perform detailed analysis of numerous metrics.
Your skill set is as follows: facilitation, leadership, portfolio management and execution, communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders, at all levels, including senior executives and customers
You have strong verbal and written communications skills with people at a variety of levels.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with matrixed reporting and while relying on others.
Familiarity with the eCommerce customer experience, site and business.
Experience working with external stakeholders, industry partners, and government regulators.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 3 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 1 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
