Role of the Assistant Director of Special Programs:

Scope and Purpose of Work: The role of Senior Program Manager & Technical Director is to provide operational management for the IACC’s online enforcement programs, including RogueBlock, IACC MarketSafe, and related expansions thereof. The Senior Program Manager & Technical Director also supervises program staff, works with participants and program partners to ensure flawless execution of program operations, and provides high-level technical expertise to further develop and refine the relevant programs.


  • Manage program operations: Manage all aspects of program operations to ensure program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization. Coordinate internal program team and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects under the organization’s programs. Create and oversee operational protocols to effectively execute program plans and strategies developed by Associate Counsel & Director of Strategic Planning. Develop forms and records to document program activities. Assist with the tracking and monitoring of legal documents related to regular program operations under the supervision of Associate Counsel & Director of Strategic Planning. Provide regular reports and updates to upper management regarding program operations and outcomes.
  • Supervise program teams: Develop operations protocols and ensure all program team members receive orientation and appropriate training. Supervise program staff by providing direction, input and feedback. Oversee the work of program staff and escalate issues to the Associate Counsel & Director of Strategic Planning, as needed. Update staff on program-related developments and industry knowledge. Provide tips and suggestions to staff on how to improve work performance. Promote healthy and positive working environment through communication, mentoring and encouragement.
  • Oversee the technical development of online enforcement programs: Oversee the development and implementation of new program features. Manage the integration of enhancements across specific programs. Develop operational plans, program events, training and onboarding materials.
  • Support strategic program planning and execution. Consult with Associate Counsel & Director of Strategic Planning to support strategic program development and problem solving as needed. Provide insight and analysis regarding the operational implications of proposed policies and procedures. Propose program developments and operational improvements based on analysis of current processes, participants’ feedback and observation of industry trends. Develop appropriate metrics for gauging program effectiveness and prepare reports of relevant program data to inform program planning and decision-making.
  • Manage operational communications with program participants and program partners:Successfully manage the relationship with participants and program partners at the operational level. Report and escalate issues to upper management as needed.
