The IACC recently conducted training under our Law Enforcement IP Training Program with Customs & Border Protection in Houston. This program provides authorities throughout the country with the information and tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.
Training was held for 45 CBP officers who participated in our trade fair formatted event along with officials from the Houston Police Department’s intellectual property enforcement unit. We had representatives from 40 brands sharing their expertise with hands-on product identification and individualized instruction designed to deter importation of counterfeit products.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the officials at the Port of Houston for their assistance in organizing this event and including other agencies to strengthen enforcement activities and interdict violators. The IACC is a strong supporter of law enforcement.
