Recap of U.S. Training in Savannah, GA

January 18, 2018

The IACC recently conducted a training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in Savannah, Georgia for U.S. Customs and Border Protection that included Customs Officers, Import Specialists and members of the Fines, Penalties and Forfeiture (FP7F) office.

This training provided the approximately 70 attendees the latest information on the product lines of over 20 global brands. Rights-holders were on hand to explain the means of identifying counterfeit products while providing individualized instruction.

The IACC would like to extend our appreciation to the members of CBP for their support.

This event is part of the IACC’s U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that provides authorities throughout the country with valuable insights drawn from our member brands. This year, we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.

As a reminder, U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training events will be held in Detroit, MI on February 13, 2018 and Minneapolis, MN on February 14, 2018. To review the details for more information on the training and logistics information, please click here.
