Recap of U.S. Training in Tampa, Florida

The IACC recently conducted a successful training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program in Tampa, Florida. Attendees included members of Homeland Security Investigations, Customs and Border Protection, Tampa Police Department, Clearwater Police Department, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the State Attorney from Pinellas & Pasco Counties.

Product experts, from over 35 brands provided law enforcement with information enabling them to act strategically in the detection, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods. Case studies were provided by the agents who conducted these successful investigations. and online counterfeiting trends discussed. 

The event is part of our U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that continuously provides authorities throughout the country with the most up to date information drawn from our member brands and members of law enforcement. This year, we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events.

As a reminder, the IACC’s next U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training events, free to our members, will be held in Charleston, SC on January 17, 2018 and Savannah, GA on January 18, 2018. Additional information on our program is available, click here.
