Summary of U.S. Training in Miami, Florida

December 13, 2017

The IACC recently conducted a successful training event under the U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program at the Miami HSI facility that attracted over 70 attendees from Homeland Security Investigations, Customs Border Protection, the Miami Dade Police Department and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

This training provided attendees the latest information and instruction on the product lines of 35 global brands. Rights holders were on hand explaining how to identify fakes and providing take-aways to law enforcement while presentations were conducted by several brand representatives. HSI provided an investigative case study.

The IACC would like to extend our appreciation to the members of the Miami area law enforcement community for their hospitality and consistent support.

The event is part of the IACC’s U.S. Law Enforcement IP Training Program that provides authorities throughout the country with valuable insights drawn from our member brands. This year, we anticipate 3,000 law enforcement professionals will have participated in 24 training events, enabling them to act strategically in the detention, seizure and forfeiture of counterfeit goods.

As a reminder, the IACC’s next U.S. Law Enforcement Training events, free to our members, will be held in Charleston, SC on January 17, 2018 and Savannah, GA on January 18, 2018. For more information about our U.S. Trainings, click here.
