IACC Law Enforcement Training Summary

The IACC recently conducted training under our Law Enforcement IP Training Program at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Training Academy. This program provides authorities throughout the country with the information and tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.
Training was held for 95 law enforcement officers who participated in our event that included presentations from investigators and brand representatives as well as interactive trade fair exhibits. The following agencies participated; Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, Memphis PD, Memphis DA, CBP assigned to the FEDEX hub, HSI, IPRC, ATF, FBI, USSS, US Attorney’s Office-Memphis, Olive Branch PD and Collierville PD.
We had representatives from 37 brands sharing their expertise with hands-on product identification and individualized instruction designed to deter importation of counterfeit products.
We would like to extend our appreciation to the officials at HSI-Memphis and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in organizing this event and including other agencies to strengthen enforcement activities and interdict violators. The IACC is a strong supporter of law enforcement.
