The IACC recently conducted a Trade Awareness Event under our Law Enforcement IP Training Program with CBP in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This program provides authorities throughout the country with the tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.
Training was held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Isla Verde and featured selected brand presentations to local members of the Intellectual Property trade community. The trade community is made up of customs brokers, importers, freight forwarders, consolidators, cargo handlers and airline & retail personnel.
The event was organized by CBP Field Operations from the Port of San Juan to educate and promote awareness about health and safety issues related to the importation and sale of counterfeit goods.
We would like to thank CBP for their work organizing this event which served to amplify the dangers of counterfeit goods and commodities regularly used by the public. The IACC is a strong supporter of law enforcement.
