IACC Law Enforcement Training Summary

Nassau County, New York
Suffolk County, New York

November 8, 2023

The IACC recently conducted training under our Law Enforcement IP Training Program with the Nassau and Suffolk Counties of New York. This program provides authorities throughout the country with the tools to act strategically in the detection and seizure of counterfeit goods.

We were happy to host keynote presentations by the Honorable Raymond A. Tierney, Suffolk County District Attorney, the Honorable Anne Donnelly, Nassau County District Attorney, Police Commissioner Patrick J. Ryder, Nassau County Police Department and Dawn Atlas, IACC Chair.

Training continued with our trade-fair tabletop exercises with over 30 rights holders, sharing their expertise with hands-on product identification and individualized instruction designed to deter sales of counterfeit products and interdict violators through enforcement activities.

Attending this event were approximately 75 members of local police, district attorney’s office investigators, Customs & Border Protection, Homeland Security Investigations, and Internal Revenue Service. The IACC is a strong supporter of law enforcement.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Jim Ricaurte of Allegiance Protection Group for his assistance in organizing this event, serving to strengthen collaboration between government and the private sector, enforcement activities and interdict violators.
